A Guide to Civilized Drinking

Absinthe is made from Grand Wormwood and has been illegal in the United States since 1912. Absinthe was traditionally green in color and known as “the green fairy.”  October's Cocktail of the Month is made with Absente, the modern version of the original Absinthe recipe. The Grand Wormwood has been replaced with a less bitter cousin, Southern Wormwood.

Yea, I know it's expensive - about $50 a bottle, but unless you drink it straight (not recommended), a bottle will last a long time.
